Used mainly in the treatment of cancers, cytotoxic drugs are handled in outpatient areas, wards and pharmacies and regularly carried between these locations. Under current health and safety legislation it is essential for locations regularly handling these drugs to have appropriate procedures in place to deal with spillages.
How it works
GV Health cytotoxic drug spill kits use high absorbency granules to neutralise and absorb spillages. This ensures that cytotoxic spillages can be safely cleaned and disposed of. Kits also include scrapers and scoops, disposal bags and illustrated directions for use. GV Health's cytotoxic drug spill kit can deal with several drug spills depending on their size. The kit has been designed for intensive and regular use in busy hospitals, clinics and laboratories. It can be supplied with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for one or two people as required. Refills are available.
