Revised UK Department of Health waste management policies and waste sortation guidelines are intended to reduce the impact of healthcare waste on the environment. These place a mandatory requirement for all NHS trusts to take steps to:

  • reduce incineration of clinical waste
  • improve sortation of healthcare waste

GV Health Waste Sortation Labels and Posters assist with the implementation of these policies. Developed following extensive consultation with senior nursing, infection control, cleaning and waste management staff at a number of healthcare trusts Waste Sortation Labels and Posters ensure staff are made aware of the appropriate waste channels to utilise.
